Christmas Eve

Holidays are always hard when you are single mom.

You think about all the what "if's". The "if only"  and "am I doing enough"

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I want to be able to give my daughter the same memories that I had growing up. So of course, I over compensated this year and bought her everything that she wanted and more. Does that mean I spoil her? No it means that I love her and want her to have the best Christmas that she can have.

What did it mean for me? I sacrificed the new sexy brown boots I wanted, the cute red sweater that shows off a little something and the tight jeans in a size 14 that I worked so hard to get back into after having her.

Why? Because as mom's we scarfiice what we need and want for the needs and wants of our child(ren). That is what we do...unconditionally and without thought.

Tomorrow when she wakes up to see all the presents that Santa brought her...it will make it worth all the hard work and sacrifice that I have made!!
