I have to say that I wasn’t sure if I was going on like the book or what to expect as there is a star on the front cover as a recommendation from “recommendation from “God, the Creator of the Universe” and there was a letter from Jesus in the book, which I did raise an eyebrow at.
But I decided to be open minded and I was pleasantly surprised as this was probably one of the most interesting and entertaining books that I have read in a long time. I almost read the book in one sitting as once you start you can’t put it down. I quickly realized that this is definitely not a book is not for those that are easy offended or can’t take a joke
The author uses humor to convey very messages about Life, Spirituality, Politics and anything else that you could possibly imagine. What I loved about this book was that the author didn’t hold back. He was direct and straight to the point with what he was discussing which is something that I could personally appreciate.
The first chapter opens with a paragraph that I just had to share - “…being hit by a bus might give you the insurance money to have that nose job you always wanted. Without your venereal disease you might not have met that cute doctor. If you hadn’t been fired from our job you may never have become homeless and learned how t make dumpster art.” This is just one example of many that had me laughing out loud but yet the reader completely understands the point that the author is trying to convey.
This book is full of a lot of great advice (wisdom) for leading a happier and more fulfilling life. Pretty much life is what you make it so make the best of it. No matter the struggles you may face there look at things from the positive vs. the negative.
